This is my last full week with Elder Santos. He finishes his
mission next Tuesday and then flys back home to Peru. Really going to miss that
guy. We work well together and we've become really good friends.
Took a different micro (bus) to go to our district meeting.
Took us in the completely wrong direction and we got lost for like 2 hours. Fun
to see more of Bolivia though!!
Celebrated San Juan!! No idea why its called San Juan or why
its celebrated. But it was an excuse to eat chori-pan, so all fine by me haha
Aldo came to visit me again yesterday. Had a great time
catching up with him. Man I love that dude hahahaha
Elizabeth is going to be baptized this Saturday!! She is 21
and studying to be a doctor. Super smart and funny (a little sassy too haha)!
We have been teaching her for awhile. She said that she believed in the Book of
Mormon and everything that we were teaching, but she didn't want to be
baptized. Man that was frustrating. Then out of the blue, she called us saying
that she was ready!!! She said she was reading the Book of Mormon when she got
her answer from God.
I love the scripture that opened Elizabeth's heart:
1 Nephi 15:11
Do ye not remember the things which the Lord hath said?—If
ye will not harden your hearts, and ask me in faith, believing that ye shall
receive, with diligence in keeping my commandments, surely these things shall
be made known unto you.
God is always ready to talk to us. But we need to open our
hearts, believe in Him, and do the things that He has asked of us. Only then
will we recieve an answer. Love and miss you all!
Les quiero,
Elder McClune
