He's in Peru!

Elder McClune left Tuesday morning for the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Peru.  Well, sorta.  His flight was supposed to leave at 5:40 AM, but he spent too long saying goodbye to Dutch (our dog), and so he missed his flight.  He caught the next one though! Here's a snippet from his e-mail he sent when he landed in Peru:

"When we got to Peru we were supposed to meet someone with a sign that had the church name in Spanish, but instead we were met by this guy in a uniform that didn't speak any english.  Gift of tongues is starting to kick in though because I was able to communicate, even if it was pretty rough"

Stay tuned next week for more! We all miss Derek so much, but we know he is going to do great things on his mission!

Derek is very excited to go and serve the people of Bolivia! He leaves next week! We will miss him but we are so proud of him.
